I am just trying to continue our subsistence style of farming with horses, our cow and food that we grow. We eat what we grow... even mill our own flour and sell sunflower oil to provide an income. And our pension does help too. There are very few who want this lifestyle but in my view if you do any calculations on this consumerism and having a job that relies on profit may not turn out very well in the end. I do not have any so called luxuries but not having to travel to work and eat all of our own food has advantages. Recently many of my friends are dying and having heart attacks. Does good organic food we grow help keep life healthy? Yes the work load is great but as an older person keeping busy has its benefits. Now all I need to find is someone who also wants this lifestyle to keep the farm going. -mat
